A bipartisan parliamentary committee has urged the British authorities to guard creators from copyright infringement related to nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and tackle potential harms from sporting teams issuing digital belongings.
In an Oct. 11 press launch, Tradition, Media and Sport Committee members warned the “most urgent subject” was the danger to artists’ mental property rights arising from the benefit and pace at which NFTs could be minted, in comparison with the gradual course of for artists trying to implement their rights.
